The crimp machine is used under hydraulic pressure to sandwich the hose fitting barb and collar together. This is where PTFE Stainless Steel braided assemblies get there strength over other forms of hose manufacture. While there are many machines that one can use to crimp hose assemblies there are only two that we recommend and sell. Each has proven its worth and longevity to us.
